Mercury had another great competition on March 25th, 2015! We held the International Speech Contest and the Evaluation Contest.
Johanna hosted the evaluation part, and guess who was the target speaker?! None other than Sari Saleh, our past member with tons of public speaking talent. Nevertheless, the evaluators were not discouraged. Each person (Sunder, Dyane, Khushi, and Friederike) presented what Sari did best as well as offering some points of improvement for his speech.
The second half of the contest was led by Renko, who introduced six scintillating speakers of our club, namely Florian, Dyane, Prateek, Khushi, Friederike, and Violetta. Some of the speeches were entertaining, some were sprinkled with unexpected effects, and some with a strong motivational message.
During the break, plenty of food and drinks were served. Dyane, Khushi and Alin brought cake to celebrate Chief Judge Alin‘s birthday.
This merry spring contest was then closed by an award ceremony followed by a thank you speech by Magdalena, our VP Public Relationship.
