Don’t Stop Believing

On Wednesday, we met again for a fantastic evening. Our lovely Toastmaster of the Evening Manjana wonderfully introduced the speakers under the engrossing motto: “And the winner is … “. On the winner list we had:

  • The hottest newcomer in theater for his poetry monologue Prateek
  • The best lead actor in his stunning action musical “The Naked Dragon” Matthias
  • The best director for a documentary on healthy nutrition Diana

Prateek artistically delivered CC Project 5 entitled “Come Take my Hand”. He convinced us to take his hand, escape this city that broke our spirits, and go with him to the streets of Venice, to pristine Spain or to the romantic city of Paris. He reminded us that we are all beautiful and perfect, that mirrors are our biggest liars. He reminded us to be mindful and to not stop believing.

Matthias delivered Project 5 Accepting an Award from the advanced manuals Special Occasion Speeches. After 5 nominations, he finally received the Oscar – the nice naked man – award for best actor. In his speech, he thanked the audience, his parents, his high school friends and Mercury members, who taught him about stage presence and humility.

Diana delivered Project 2 from the Speaking to Inform manual entitled “You Are What You Eat!”. She explained what a healthy plate should look like according to the nutrition experts from Harvard Public School of Health. According to them, on our plate we should have vegetables, fruits, whole grains and healthy protein and oils. Of course drinking water and staying active are also important for a healthy lifestyle.

Word of the Day: Glitzy

Lesson learned: Eat healthy and stay active.
