The voice of Mercury is again in the Toastmasters magazine edition for October 2014. Khushi wrote an article about the 90th Anniversary Organization (see page 8). Not only that, but her article “Drum Roll, Please!” from June 2014 was praised by Gabi Braehler (see page 3).

It was great and very inspiring. All the contestants delivered great speeches and had different styles... Loved it!

I am a big fan of Toastmasters! Whenever I feel down, and I attend the meeting, it never fails to give me a confidence and happiness-boost.

World Class Speeches! That's what we got last night. Every time I hear a Toastmaster speak I learn something new - how to deal with challenges, how to conquer fear, how to live life more fully. Sometimes the speeches are more informational - an explanation of climate change; an introduction to 3D printing. Learning in 7 minute chunks teaches me about the value of economy.

Toastmasters provides a safe and supportive environment where people can practice delivering speeches. It provides a place to experiment, a place to succeed and a place to improve. It’s also the single most cost-effective way to get speech training. On a personal level, I continue to be an active member of Toastmasters because it helps me communicate more effectively not only as a speaker, but as a business professional. I encourage you to join us!
