Christmas party report 2009

For those of you who missed our Christmas party, we all had a great time in a beautiful setting with delicious food, inspiring seasonal Table Topics speeches and of course, the Yule Club. As always, there was plenty of bargaining in the race to get the best gifts. In any case, I hope you ended up with something you wanted. Special thanks to Johanna for organising this year's Christmas party and on behalf of the club, I'd like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

Haven't I seen that before? Our immediate Past President ended up with my former Yule Club gift - that's what I call recycling!

Wasn't that just what you wanted?! Some were happier than others...

Mercury summer event

Thanks to Emily who organised this year's summer event, on 29th June we spent a wonderful afternoon for a relaxing picnic with delicious food, cool drinks and some Toastmasters' games.

As everyone contributed, we had a lot of food, more drinks and even more fun!

So thank you all for joining and lets not wait too long for the next event!

Mercury Toastmasters had a wonderful Christmas party in a cheerful atmosphere with awesome table topics, acceptance speeches and lots of chats and socializing. After the Jül klapp trafficking of gifts started immediately. Thank you everyone for making the party such a remarkable and lovely event.

Dear fellow Mercury Toastmasters and dear honored guests,

My first year as a Mercury Toastmaster, a Vice President no less, went by very fast. Now, in Advent, it is time to reflect on 2007. I enjoy being a Mercury Toastmaster. I feel that we are a special club with a warm atmosphere, a place where you can improve your public speaking skills, meet interesting people and - last but not least - have fun. We have attracted a number of fascinating new members. At the same time our more senior members successfully work on their advanced manuals. I am looking forward to more thrilling speeches and amazing table topics.
