It was hard to stop the creative momentum…<\/p>\n

Lena<\/a> stomped and jogged in her Icebreaker speech: Calisthenics, Clutter, and Curses<\/em>. “To \u00a0know me is to know my habits” and she let us in on three of her good habits. Lena inspired us with three tips: substituting curse words like “damn” with “BAM!”, creating de-clutter zones by using the Zero Clutter Method, and jogging as a inventive way to avoid pick-pocketers.<\/p>\n

Holger’s<\/a> speech: Culture and the way I was brought up<\/em>\u00a0highlighted the fact that our culture plays a vital part in how we view the world.<\/p>\n

Diana’s<\/a> speech:\u00a0It Is in Our Hands\u00a0<\/em>was a call for action to evaluate our education system. She believes there are three main pillars: 1) the young learner, 2) the teacher, 3) the parents. Finland and South Korea were notable high-scorers in the PISA test and she asked the question “Why?”.<\/p>\n

Khushi<\/a> announced the date for the 90th Anniversary of Toastmasters International, so mark this in your calendar – it is going to be an event you won’t want to miss: Friday, October 17th, 2014!<\/strong><\/p>\n
