Her well-researched speech peaked visually with images of a chicken from 1950 and the current fatter, faster growing version we have now. It was a great example of the power of visuals. The room echoed with her call to action: buy locally, look at food labels, use your consumer power! \u00a0<a title=\"http:\/\/bioberlin.wordpress.com\/\" href=\"http:\/\/bioberlin.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bioberlin.wordpress.com\/<\/a><br \/>\n<a title=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tyfOdxwPzTw\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tyfOdxwPzTw\" target=\"_blank\">Summary Presentation: Child Nutrition 2.0 by Dr. Maya Adam<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Member <a title=\"Members\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mercury-toastmasters-berlin.de\/?page_id=25\">Alin<\/a> paid our club an official visit in his role as Area Governor. He inspired us to move beyond our communication goals and expand our vision to include leadership:\u00a0<em><a title=\"http:\/\/www.toastmasters.org\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.toastmasters.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Toastmasters where leaders are made.<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>His eye-catcher was a book in his hand:<em> <a title=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/gp\/product\/0770436595\/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=1535015942&amp;pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&amp;pf_rd_t=201&amp;pf_rd_i=0809232650&amp;pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&amp;pf_rd_r=0FH1D083R1978TVQPY1Q\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/gp\/product\/0770436595\/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=1535015942&amp;pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&amp;pf_rd_t=201&amp;pf_rd_i=0809232650&amp;pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&amp;pf_rd_r=0FH1D083R1978TVQPY1Q\" target=\"_blank\">Setting Limits with your Strong-willed Child by Robert Mackenzie. <\/a>\u00a0<\/em>The soon-to-be father<em>\u00a0<\/em>Alin said, the book contained 200 pages with the same message: be clear and be consistent &#8211; also the two traits of a focused leader.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Members\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mercury-toastmasters-berlin.de\/?page_id=25\">Dyane<\/a> led the <a title=\"Meetings\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mercury-toastmasters-berlin.de\/?page_id=23\">Table Topics<\/a> with 4 dialogues where the speakers pulled something out of thin air and told us about it. Holger exclaimed, <em>&#8220;it was like Toastmasters on steriods&#8221;<\/em>, laughing hysterically as Renko described electrons spinning out of our ceiling.
